About Hush Hush Cafe & Catering

Let me introduce you to Hush Hush Cafe & Catering, a Mediterranean restaurant tucked into Lake Oswego that locals quietly rave about, and once you step inside it makes sense why. Located at 15170 Bangy Rd, Lake Oswego, OR 97035, United States, this spot feels welcoming from the first hello, blending relaxed neighborhood energy with flavors that feel thoughtfully crafted rather than rushed. The menu leans into Mediterranean comfort with a modern touch, offering everything from rich coffee for a slow morning to small plates that work just as well for a quick bite or a shared table. What I appreciate most is how flexible the experience feels, because whether you’re stopping by for dine-in, grabbing takeaway between errands, or ordering delivery on a busy evening, the quality stays consistent. Outdoor seating adds a laid-back option when the weather cooperates, and on-site services make it easy to settle in without feeling hurried. Hush Hush Cafe & Catering also stands out for its inclusive offerings, with halal food, vegan options, and vegetarian options that don’t feel like afterthoughts but actual highlights. If you’re leaning toward healthier choices, there are plenty of balanced plates, yet comfort food lovers won’t feel left out either. The flavors are familiar enough to feel cozy, yet layered enough to keep things interesting, which makes it an easy recommendation for both first-time visitors and regulars. It’s the kind of Mediterranean restaurant that works for casual catch-ups, solo coffee breaks, or low-key meals that still feel special, all without any pretension, just good food, friendly service, and an atmosphere that invites you to come back again. For me, the appeal lies in how the space balances simplicity with intention, making it easy to relax while still feeling cared for, and the Mediterranean influence shows up in seasoning, presentation, and variety rather than heavy trends. It fits naturally into everyday routines, whether you’re meeting friends, refueling between meetings, or looking for something satisfying that aligns with different dietary needs.

If you LOVE Mediterranean food, this is THE place to visit!! My son ALWAYS gets a Turkish coffee, which they bring to the table and pour into the tiny cup. You can see its piping hot from the steam rising! He also always gets spicy garlic fries, which are very tasty. This time, he got the grilled Gyro wrap, which lasted all of 5 min. I got the gyro salad, which is one of my favorites, and it makes 2 meals for me. Couple things, 1. You order at the counter. 2. The extensive menu is overhead, so you have to stand off to the side, just to read it. They also have a QR code (menu) on the tables. We use the full menu online to make our choices before we go. Their food is fresh, hot, and tasty, and we love coming here for lunch. Just be prepared that the wraps and gyros can get a little juicy!

Out of state, first time! Its a must-try. Food speaks for itself! The lemon mint is 10/10, pita made fresh, shawarma just like the original! The hummus tabbouli and falafel in the mezza plate are exceptional!

Quality food but the pricing is on the higher side. The kabob is on point and the meatball is well cooked. Personally, I felt the dessert and dip pricing could be $1~2 cheaper or more bundle discount other than lunch combo. Needless to say; lunch combo is a great value, and I wish they offer similar deal for dinner.

Been here about four times with family. Food was amazing! Best levant-style BBQ you can find in Portland. And a great Kunafah (dessert) that feels right out of Jordan! Shawarma was juicy and rich. They also serve the famous Jordanian coffee! We tried DoorDashing breakfast one day, and it was amazing. They have the best Manaqeesh (pastries) you can try in Portland. Along with a great selection of Jordanian breakfast dishes. Staff was always friendly and helpful! (Tala, Abdullah, Zahra)

Better than average Mediterranean fast food. Service was friendly and nice. Quite efficient. Prices were good. The ambiance is definitely fast food. And if there are screaming children in the restaurant you will know it. We plan to eat there again when we are in the area. *

Delicious Mediterranean food! The Meat Mezza had amazing variety—fresh hummus, crispy falafel, and tender shawarma. The Gyro Plate was flavorful, with juicy meat, basmati rice, and bold garlic sauce. Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic and satisfying Middle Eastern dishes.

Do not skip the spicy garlic fries! Portions are large. A wrap or salad and fries is more than enough for 2 normal level hungry people. Great service, and the kitchen is quick.

I love this place! My daughter was craving a gyro and it made her so happy! My husband enjoyed the meat pies. The makdous was excellent. I loved the mint, lemonade with rosewater. It wasn't too sweet just wonderfully refreshing. We always have an excellent experience here!
